Experience and reliability

Does the journey really work, on a phone included? The errors that happen inside the pages, the broken links and resources, the error pages, the display on a phone, and the journeys that matter: contact, quote, purchase.

Audit your home page for free

We look at your home page for Experience and reliability, and we email you our report within 48 working hours.

One page, one pillar. The plans cover the 9 pillars across your whole site.

What we look at

  • The errors that really happen in your pages during loading, and the requested resources that do not answer.
  • What an address that does not exist returns: a page that brings the visitor back into your site, or a wall.
  • The site at three screen widths, rather than a single “mobile friendly” verdict. A button can be pushed off screen with no horizontal scrolling to signal it, because the overflow is hidden. Where that happens, we measure the exact range of widths at which the control is out of reach.
  • The controls actually operated, where that can be done without changing anything at your end: a button that triggers nothing is a silent failure, invisible on a screenshot.
  • Navigation, visual hierarchy, and the journeys your business depends on: contact, quote, purchase.

On what basis

no dedicated standard: measured facts and human review

A finding is only worth something if it rests on an identifiable basis. Where one exists, we lean on a law, a standard or a specification, and for every point recorded the report names the page and gives the value we measured.

This pillar is the only one with no dedicated standard, and the report says so plainly. It rests on measured facts (an error that occurs, a resource that does not answer, a button out of reach) and on human review. We prefer an empty box to an approximate reference.

What it changes for you

This is the pillar where a fault costs immediately, and leaves no trace: the problem is only discovered months later, often by chance.

It is also the pillar a site owner sees the least: they know the way, they use their own computer, and they never click where a newcomer clicks.

What this audit does not say

We send no forms, create no accounts and place no orders: your site only sees read-only visits, comparable to those of any visitor.

What happens after a form is sent or a basket validated is therefore not checked. The report writes down which of your controls were actually operated and which were only observed. An “everything works” that exercised nothing proves nothing.

Every limit of the examination is stated in the methodology note of your report. A point that cannot be verified is never presented as compliant.

The weight of this pillar

An overall score has to weigh what matters for your business: the 9 pillars do not carry the same weight depending on what your site is for. Here is what “experience and reliability” represents in the overall score, under each weighting. The report always states which one produced your score.

The 9 pillars, in every plan

That is what every audit contains, whichever plan you take. What is left to find out is what they turn up on your site.
