Frequently asked questions

What people ask us before ordering, and our answers.

Before you order

Do I need to prepare anything, or give access?

No. Nothing to install, no code to add, no access to hand over. We examine only what your site shows any visitor.

My site is built with Wix, Shopify, WordPress…

It makes no difference. We measure what your visitors actually get and what search engines read, whatever the technology behind it.

I don’t know how many pages my site has.

Order the plan that looks closest: when the order comes in, we survey your pages, and if another plan suits better we write to you before starting. As the amount is only collected on delivery, that adjustment costs you nothing.

Can I start with the small plan?

Yes. You don’t have to audit the whole site straight away. The A8 plan lets you try our method on a first scope, with the 9 pillars and the same three documents as the larger plans. If it suits you and you want to go further, you order an audit covering more pages next time.

My site asks for a login: customer portal, application, intranet…

That is possible, but it cannot be ordered online: the scope and the authorisation framework are defined together, and the audit is quoted on request. Write to us at contact@z29k.fr with the address of the site and what you want to know.

The scope

What happens if my site has more pages than the plan?

We survey your pages, group them by type (home page, product pages, articles, contact pages…), then rank them against the real structure of the site: legal obligations, navigation and how often pages are linked. The plan covers the top of that ranking, and the report states the exact list. As pages of the same type are built from the same mould, a finding on one often holds for its sibling pages.

Why pay for more pages, if you’re the ones choosing them?

Because the number of pages changes what the report covers, not how each page is examined: every page gets the same analysis, whichever plan you take. Every further page is one more checkpoint, over a wider share of your site, and can reveal a problem the first pages did not have. So you match the scope to your need and your budget, and the report always states which pages were analysed.

Will you test my site “from the inside”?

No: no access attempt, no form sent, no account created. The examination is non-intrusive.

Do you check GDPR compliance?

We check what your site displays and must display: required notices, cookie consent as it actually works, the privacy policy, what gets sent to third parties. Internal obligations (processing records, contracts with processors) cannot be seen from outside and are out of scope: the report never claims to have checked them.

My site is in several languages: how are the pages counted?

The plan counts the pages of your main language: the one your site serves by default, or the one you name when you order. Other languages are only examined if you order them. Each is then analysed in turn, up to the same number of pages, with a check of its translated versions (they exist, they are genuinely translated, and a page announced in one language is not served in another). Without that option, the audit covers a single language, and the report names those it did not examine.

Can I have another language of my site analysed in full?

Yes, if it is served on the same site, at its own address (for example /en/ or /de/). It is then analysed in turn, up to the same number of pages as your plan, in the same report, and that is also what triggers the check of your translations in that language: A25 €120 excl. VAT; A60 €300 excl. VAT; A120 €420 excl. VAT up to 120 pages, then €0.75 excl. VAT per extra page and per language. A8 does not offer this option, and one order carries at most 5 languages; beyond that, it is a quote. On the A120 plan, which sells pages one by one, the page rate follows the number of languages chosen: a page you add is analysed in each of them. You tick those languages on the plan card, before paying, and the price follows. A version hosted on another domain name is another site, therefore another audit: its certificate, its servers and its headers are not yours. We tell you so at the survey, before starting.

What language is the report written in?

The one you choose when you order, French or English: a field in the payment form asks for it. That is a separate choice from the languages of the plan, which are the languages of your SITE, the ones we are going to read and analyse. You name your main language and any further languages to analyse on the plan card; the audit report, the page-by-page analysis and the methodology note are then handed to you in the language you asked for.

Why pay, when free tools exist online?

Free tools measure certain aspects, such as speed, accessibility or search readability, and you can use them yourself. Our work starts where the score stops: we cross-check the 9 pillars over your real pages, we rank the findings, and we document them in a report you can pass to whoever will do the fixing.

Payment

When am I charged?

On delivery. When you order, the amount is temporarily authorised on your card, through Stripe; it is only collected when your report is handed over. The price is firm: what protects you is the survey, done within 24 hours and before any work. If the plan does not suit, or if a language you ordered is not published in a way we can analyse, you change or cancel at no cost, and nothing has been collected.

Why the same price for a smaller site?

Each plan covers a maximum number of pages, but the bulk of the work is not collecting measurements: it is cross-checking them, then writing a report someone can actually read. That share does not depend on the size of the site.

The report

Can I pass the report to my provider?

Yes. The report is fully yours, and it is written to be passed on: the summary to decide with, the page-by-page analysis to fix from. You don’t need to buy anything else to use it.

Will my report be published?

Never. It concerns you alone. The example online is the audit of our own site.

Does the report certify my compliance?

No. The report records facts, measurements and observable signs. It is neither a conformity certificate, nor legal advice, nor a penetration test. The methodology note, handed over with your audit, sets out precisely what the examination could not verify, and none of that is counted as compliant.
